Who we are
Western Uganda FBO Network is an interfaith umbrella network for FBOs in western Uganda, we are duly constituted by (Faith Based Organizations) FBOs working in Western Uganda. Our role is to complement Government programs in order to improve the well-being of people in Uganda and elsewhere in Africa. From 2013 to date Western Uganda FBO Network has made significant improvements in priority areas: Organizational strategic management and quality, Organizational business process, Faith based fundamental and values of different faith backgrounds, internal and external communications, information technology, Monitoring, evaluation, learning and advocacy, fiscal management and stewardship, and workforce development. Our past and current work in these areas, and additionally focus on new opportunities to advance our mission and vision over the next five years. As one of the largest faith-based organizations network in Western Uganda, we are responsible for the Human rights protection, health, environment and safety of our residents in Western Uganda.

Organisational Objectives
- To facilitate processes that provides a platform for FBOs to influence development policies and practices at District, Regional and international levels.
- To strengthen capacities of Western Uganda FBO Network and member organizations to deliver effectively on their core mandate.
- To establish information generation and sharing avenues among the Faith based Civil Society organizations and key development actors for quality service delivery in communities.
- To create and strengthen strategic alliances among FBOs, private sector and government that increase opportunities for the Network and member organizations to actively engage in the Development processes.
Our Strategic Objectives 2022-2026
- Enhancing FBOS, NGOS, CBOS, Churches, Local Government, Local Council and Parliament Oversight of Environment and Natural Resources Such as Forests, Land, Energy, Agriculture, Climate Change, Oil and Gas & Pollution Response in Uganda.
- To Strengthen Collaboration, Agency and Representation on Human Rights and religious freedoms and beliefs, health, education, Climate justice Access to Justice and Economic Security for Women, Youth, Disabled and Indigenous Religious, Cultural and Minorities in Community-Based Services in Uganda.
We have 10 districts interfaith hubs coordinating districts interfaith activities in districts mid-western Uganda with over 1,800 religious leader subscribers as well as 3 major sub regional interfaith hubs which are the engines for our service delivery through mid-western and south western Uganda region. We employ a small number at the headquarters and decentralized our workforce through interfaith hubs and active faith-based organizations that provide direct services through 30 programs locations. To provide and facilitate strategic management of this extensive portfolio of work across several sectors of development in this changing global social, political, climatic and religious economy. We utilize a “Balanced Scorecard” system as the core of a robust performance management system which assures proper alignment of our plans, systems, and work with our mission, vision and values.
