Welcome to Nsinde Specialized Women and Neonatal Health Facility
About Nsinde Specialized Women and Neonatal Health Facility Program
Nsinde Specialized Women and Neonatal Health Facility is a beacon of hope for women, newborns, and families across Western Uganda. We provide compassionate, accessible, and specialized healthcare services aimed at reducing maternal and neonatal mortality, expanding family planning access, and promoting health awareness through research, education, and community empowerment.
Our commitment is to ensure that every woman, child, and family receives quality healthcare delivered with dignity, compassion, and excellence.
Nsinde Specialized Women and Neonatal Health Facility was founded by Rev. Hon. Atuhaire Moses, a Quaker pastor, theologian, politician, and social entrepreneur.
Growing up in Kyongera Village, Moses experienced firsthand the challenges of limited healthcare access. He battled malaria without nearby medical facilities and walked 14 kilometers daily to attend school. These experiences inspired his lifelong commitment to improving healthcare and social services for underserved communities.
Through technical support from Devin and inspiration from Caren and Ian Fisk, whom he met through Opportunity Collaboration in Mexico, Moses embraced a social enterprise approach to sustainable community transformation.
This vision led to the establishment of five interconnected social enterprises:
- Nsinde Specialized Women and Neonatal Health Facility – Advancing maternal, neonatal, and family health.
- Quaker Financial Services – Supporting farmers and entrepreneurs through financial inclusion and wealth creation.
- Quaker Hill Public School – Expanding access to quality education.
- Nsinde Beach – Promoting tourism, environmental conservation, and recreation.
- Clean Energy Initiatives – Supporting sustainable and renewable energy solutions.
Together, these initiatives form the Village Model, an integrated approach to community transformation through healthcare, education, agriculture, recreation, financial inclusion, and clean energy.
