Western Uganda FBOs Network implemented a project titled “Peace Dialogue spaces through Inter-Media and Inter-Faith Youth Mobilization in Rwenzori sub region”, Uganda supported under Communities Richer in Diversity (CRID) which is a consortium of faith-based organizations and networks, namely, the FAITH TO ACTION NETWORK, ACRL-RfP, and AACC funded by EU. The project utilized the platforms and structures of Faith leaders and institutions to promote cultural diversity and respect for the dignity of all men and women in the 8 districts of Rwenzori sub region.
The project is responded to the conflicts in the Rwenzori region which is due to historical, social –economic and political tensions which have resulted into the current series of deadly crashes between different ethnic groups and religions. At the end of the project, it reached over 60,000 Young people with peace building messages as well as restored broken families due to the conflict.
